State Rep. Julie Calley of Portland today invited residents to attend her May office hours in Middleville and Hastings.
“Listening to people in our community and understanding your priorities helps me better represent our area when I got to Lansing,” Calley said. “I look forward to hearing your input and assisting with any questions you might have.”
The informal meetings will take place Monday, May 24, at the following times and locations:
- From 10 to 11 a.m. at the Middleville Village Hall, 100 E. Main St. in Middleville.
- From 1 to 2 p.m. at the Hastings City Hall, 201 E. State St. in Hastings.
No appointment is necessary to attend.
Calley is also planning a virtual option for community members who are unable to attend the in-person events. Zoom appointments are available between 6 and 7:30 p.m. May 24. Please email JulieCalley@house.mi.gov or call (517) 373-0842 to schedule a virtual meeting.
State Rep. Julie Calley and the Michigan House today approved a new state budget plan that will help Michigan families, workers and job providers continue to recover from the pandemic while taking steps to put the state on stronger financial footing for the future.
Rep. Calley testifies before the House Election and Ethics Committee Tuesday on her HB 5268, which would prohibit the sending of unsolicited absent voter applications. The bill remains in committee. Rep. Calley says the bill is a move to increase confidence in the process.
